Quick answer

To rent a home through Signal Property Management, tell us the type of home, bedrooms, bathrooms and neighborhoods you want using the form on this page. Many Signal homes are never on the MLS — some by owner request, others because they rent before the MLS catches up — so a direct search is the fastest way to see what’s available.

Why don’t you have MLS access for me to search?

Here’s why: the rental market in Southwest Florida is very, very tight, meaning that homes rent extremely fast — so fast that the multiple listing service (MLS) has not had time to catch up in some cases. There is nothing more frustrating than hoping a home is available and finding out it is already rented. Additionally, and unfortunately, there are many rental scams out there, and that is a real risk of going at it alone.

Many of our homes are listed on the MLS, but many are not listed, at the owner’s request. There are also many times we are informed of available homes by our clients before they are even listed on the MLS.

Protect yourself: never wire money or pay a deposit for a home you haven’t toured and applied for through a secure portal. The FTC’s guide to rental listing scams explains the warning signs.

Fill out the form and we’ll reach out shortly to discuss your needs and available rental inventory.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t I find all of your rentals on the MLS?

Southwest Florida’s rental market is tight and homes rent quickly, sometimes before the MLS catches up. Some owners also ask that their homes not be listed publicly, and clients often tell Signal about upcoming vacancies in advance. Asking Signal directly is the fastest way to see current inventory.

How do I apply for one of your rentals?

Apply online through Signal’s secure Buildium application. Every applicant age 18 or older must submit their own application with a different email address and pay a $50 non-refundable tenant-screening fee.

How can I avoid rental scams in Southwest Florida?

Deal directly with a licensed management company, never wire money or pay before touring and applying through a secure portal, and be wary of rents far below market. The Federal Trade Commission publishes guidance on rental listing scams.
