Signal Property Management takes rental applications through its secure Buildium portal. Every applicant age 18 or older submits their own application, with a $50 non-refundable tenant-screening fee per applicant.
To apply for a Signal Property Management rental, open the secure online application, choose the property (or pick one later), and complete your applicant information, rental history, employment and terms. Each adult applicant pays a $50 non-refundable screening fee and must use their own email address.
Before you start
Please note for each applicant (age 18+):
- Each applicant age 18 or older must submit an application.
- Each applicant must pay a $50 non-refundable fee for their tenant screening.
- Each applicant must use a different email address, or may have to pay the $50 again to reapply.
For dates and fields that do not apply to you: enter “N/A” for names, addresses or questions that don’t apply, and enter today’s date for any date of birth that doesn’t apply.
What the application asks
- Your information
Desired move-in date, the rental property address, your name, Social Security number, date of birth, current address, email and phone, plus an emergency contact.
- Household
Names and birth dates of occupants under 18, pets, and whether a realtor represents you.
- Rental history
Previous rental address and dates, monthly rent, reason for leaving, and landlord name, phone and email. Add more than one history if needed.
- Employment
Employer name, address and phone, position held, employment dates, monthly gross salary, and supervisor name and title.
- Review & payment
Review everything, agree to the terms, and pay the $50 application fee online.

By submitting an application you give Signal Property Management permission to run a background check, which may include obtaining your credit report from a consumer reporting agency, and you agree to Buildium’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Signal follows the federal Fair Housing Act.
